Foso Point is not just a surf-inspired clothing brand — it is rooted in a real place. Born in Tarifa, one of Europe’s most iconic wind and surf destinations, the brand draws its identity from geography itself: the meeting point between the Iberian Peninsula and Africa. A physical location where wind, currents, and cultures converge.
From the very beginning, this project was built through close collaboration — constant dialogue with the founder and deep connection with the local spirit of Tarifa. The goal was clear: create a brand that feels authentic to the territory and the people who live it.
Task
Brand research and strategic concept development, logo design, creation of the visual identity system, definition of typography and color palette, apparel applications, and development of graphic assets for textile and lifestyle use.
The challenge was to avoid generic surf aesthetics — predictable waves and sunsets — and instead build something deeply anchored in place.
Foso Point is a real surf spot. Its identity needed to reflect that uniqueness. It had to express territory, movement, and union while remaining strong, adaptable, and timeless for fashion applications.
At the same time, the brand had to resonate locally. That meant listening — understanding Tarifa’s energy, its people, and its visual language.
Approach & Execution
The identity was shaped through research, conversation, and on-the-ground inspiration. The final symbol is derived from the geographical forms surrounding Foso Point, abstracting the meeting of two landmasses — Europe and Africa — into a clean, modular mark.
The flowing shapes subtly reference both coastline contours and wave motion, creating a symbol that feels dynamic without being literal.
The color palette is directly inspired by the flag of Tarifa, reinforcing the brand’s territorial authenticity. These colors ground the identity in its origin, strengthening the emotional link between the brand and its place.
Throughout the process, we worked in continuous dialogue with the client, refining each decision to ensure the brand felt genuinely theirs — and genuinely Tarifa’s.
Result
Foso Point becomes more than a surf brand — it becomes a symbol of convergence. A brand born from geography, shaped by collaboration, and rooted in community. Strong enough for apparel. Meaningful enough to last.
